Tom combines engineering and sculptural techniques with humor to create fun, functional utensils, boards and vessels for kitchen and tabletop. Heirloom pieces from New England hardwoods.

You can find my work at www.etsy.com/shop/MebsKitchenwares. You are welcome to arrange for pick-up of Etsy pieces--especially the larger pieces-- at any time by emailing me mebskitchenwares@gmail.com or by calling 860-420-9733. I will refund your shipping from the Etsy sale.

Although Meb passed in 2023, I am continuing our dream. Through combining engineering skills and wood sculpture techniques I am able to create functional wooden wares for kitchen and tabletop. Each board is hand picked, debated how best to use its grain & figure. I do NOT use duplicating machines or laser cutters. I raise the grain twice and sand twice. Finally, two coats of oil is rubbed deep into the wood grain. My goal is to make cooking & entertaining a visual and tactile pleasure. I imagine unknown hands and eyes enjoying the sensuous shapes, smooth textures, and luscious wood grains. I love knowing that our utensils create delectable recipes and our serving wares grace tables around the world. Using only New England hardwoods, I strive to leave a small environmental impact.
