Although my first career was as a dental educator and college administrator, I have been painting for over thirty years.  Since 2019, I have been a full time artist, drawing and painting every day.  I divide my time between Storrs, Connecticut and Dallas, Texas. Below are some highlights of my work.

I create oil and watercolor paintings that capture memories of good times, travel, and the beauty of the landscape.    I like the luminosity of watercolor and the richness of oils. I paint with bright colors that make the heart sing. My collectors say my paintings remind them of special places or important people in their lives, especially mothers. Much of my painting over the last 30 some years has been plein air work in Texas, Cape Cod and around the world. I have painted in the lavender fields of Provence, by Monet’s water lily pond, along the canals of Venice, under the windmills of La Mancha, in the wilds of Isle of Skye and overlooking the old city of Jerusalem.
